The Biomedical Research Academy at the University of Pennsylvania is a three week program that introduces the experimental basis of cellular, molecular, and genetic aspects of biology, focusing on relevance to diseases. Students gain insight into the core of biomedical research through lectures, discussions with experts, and laboratory experiments. The academy is fully residential with no commuter or online options. Applicants must have completed a year of biology and have a minimum GPA of 3.3. Financial aid is only offered to Pennsylvania high school students. Applications for summer 2025 will open in late fall.
